Welcome to this very special event!

We are thrilled to announce the return of Grand Master Iwasa 9th Dan, to London in 2024! After the great success of his last visit, we expect this year to be bigger and better!

Master Iwasa, originally from Nagasaki, Japan, has been teaching karate throughout Europe for 30 years. He is president of the Seiken Shudo Kai association and is the European representative of Ogasahara-ha Shito Ryu Karate and the Japan Kenshukai Karate Association. In this truly special event we will host master Iwasa for 3 intense days of training and tourism in the heart of the city of London.

ENTERING THE COUNTRY

There are no special travel restrictions for entering the UK with a European passport.

ACCOMMODATION AND TRANSPORT

There are many options for staying in London, including luxury hotels, budget hotels, hostels and bed and breakfasts. When looking for housing, remember that the internship will be held in the Island Gardens neighborhood. The larger area is called the "Isle of Dogs" or "Docklands". North of Island Gardens is the world famous financial district called "Canary Wharf". To the south, you have the popular town of Greenwich, which is just one train stop from Island Gardens, or a 10 minute walk through the pedestrian tunnel.

There are also excellent transport links to Island Gardens from the north and south. It is on the DLR train line. Generally, you can get from Greenwich or Canary Wharf to Island Gardens in under 10 minutes.

We recommend finding accommodation in Greenwich or Isle of Dogs. However, if you have no problem getting to the dojo from further away, there are literally thousands of alternative accommodations throughout the city (which may be even cheaper). To save money we recommend booking well in advance!
